Lampwork, also known as flameworking or torchworking is an ancient art of using a flame to melt rods of glass to form into intricate shapes and patterns.

I often describe lampwork as a little like miniature glassblowing, without the furnace.

The equipment has evolved over the years but the techniques are the same.
