Welcome to my little worlds

I find making tiny glass pieces so absorbing and addictive, these little worlds are no exception, I use the rods of coloured glass to paint pictures while the glass is molten, they each have their own challenges. Every one is a lesson in glass reactions through colour mixing, oxygen/propane levels and heat. Some colours are fussy, some discolour, bubble, or crack if they aren't treated exactly how they like to be, some are more predictable, but learning how they all play together is what keeps it interesting, and the complexity of painting with molten coloured glass comes from these challenges.
