A brief post to give you a little info about where can can find me this year, I hope to get a few more events booked in, but so far I've got:
Tomorrow, 25th May 10:00-4:00 I'll be at Una Spa in Carbis Bay for their annual spring fair. I was there last year and it was a truly lovely day, luckily the weather was on our side, it may not be quite as scorching this year, but don't let that put you off. There will be live music, a selection of stalls including mine, excellent food and real mermaids! The small one is most excited about the mermaids, she remembers watching them last year, and can't wait to see their magic again.
I have a very little collection of necklaces and cards at St. Peter's Church in Newlyn this week 25th-31st May.
Saturday August 3rd I'll be in Truro Cathedral for my first Artisan Markets Cornwall, I haven't traded at one of these before, but I've visited as a customer, and have maker friends who regularly attend with their wares, like Charlie Rose clothes, a favourite of my daughter for their colour and comfort, and Godrevy Textiles handwoven butter-soft fabric homewares and accessories.
Saturday 7th September Back in Truro Cathedral for another Artisan Markets Cornwall event.
Christmas... Here's the hole in my calendar, I loved having a stall at Makers Cornwall Christmas Fair last year, it's a fabulous busy event with a wonderful line-up of curated stalls, there are more than double the applicants for spaces, and to keep the show fresh the organizers change many of the exhibitors, so we can't all be there every year. If I don't book a conflicting market myself I look forward to attending as a punter!
I would like to bring beautiful and kooky glass to the masses in time for Christmas, so I'm working on alternatives and I'll let you know when I've found one. If you happen to know of a stonking event near you needing a seller of miniature blown glass, let me know, I'm not averse to traveling.
I haven't listened to much this week, but I went to Bristol on Saturday to watch Hamilton live in the hippodrome, and I've had the music playing in the car since then, I know it's not for everyone, but I'm a big fan.
If you come to any of the above do say hi, I've refreshed the displays and filled in all the gaps with shiny (or tumbled) new stock.
Tiddly pom.
